YOUR ADVENTURE

Your luxury adventure on the Ord River starts in Kununurra, from where you will be transported by speed boat to Kimberley Dreaming moored at
your chosen location on the upper Ord River. You can stay for the minimum of 3 nights, or more than a week if you like! If you have a Skippers ticket you may
choose to hire the optional Whaley Boat dinghy and transport yourselves in which case
you will be guided up the river for your induction onto the vessel.

 As you travel upriver, you'll experience the sights along the banks of
 beautiful Lake Kununurra. Watch out for the spectacular gorges, the
wildlife, sandy beaches and little creeks to which you can later return and
explore in your dinghy or in the double fishing kayaks supplied on Kimberley Dreaming.

Depending on your chosen location, in up to an hour, your new luxury home will appear. Prepare to relax and unwind away from the complexities of life and the interruptions of
connectivity. Drinks at sunset on the deck followed by a gourmet meal from your BBQ or kitchen are the usual treats on your first night.

LIFE ABOARD KIMBERLEY DREAMING

You will quickly settle in, choosing your sleeping spots. There is a Queen
size bed in the Main Cabin, a Double bed and single bed bunk combination in the Second Cabin and a comfortable Queen size futon in the Saloon. Downstairs there is a gourmet kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Remember that all waste water must be stored aboard in this pristine environment so please be careful.  Most guests prefer the outside shower on the deck. Plenty of privacy as you are unlikely to see another boat between 4:30pm and 9:30am. Upstairs there is a BBQ and mini kitchen and large lounging and dining area.

Food and drinks are stored in the kitchen fridge, the downstairs freezer or
the upstairs chest fridge, all powered by our effective solar system.

There are three separate air conditioning systems to keep you cool although
you will probably spend most of your time outside.

Evenings are magical. The stars and moon shine brightly in the black sky and
reflect on the calm waters of the river. Frogs croak, birds rustle and chirp
and there are myriad splashes as water creatures settle down for the night.
With your evening drink in your hand, you will know you are miles from anywhere.

MORE THAN JUST RELAXING

It’s not all relaxing if you choose to be more active. There’s much to
explore including lookouts, swimming holes and exploring freshwater creeks.
Experience an abundance of birds and wildlife, spectacular gorges, lagoons,
creeks and waterfalls as well as learning about the unique eco-system.

You can paddle or dinghy to shore and walk, swim and photograph as much or as
little as you like. There is a swim deck of the back of Kimberley Dreaming if
you don’t want to venture too far. A guide book offers advice and
interpretation of the local flora and fauna as you explore. A fishing guidebook
will ensure you are an expert at trawling and reeling in fish from your kayak.

SAFETY FIRST

On arrival you will be given a full induction to familiarise you with
the features of Kimberley Dreaming. You will be instructed in the use of the
Sat Phone onboard, so even though you may not have mobile reception you are
always able to contact us in any emergency.

Please note for 2023 the 3 day minimum price is $2500 (an increase of $300), additional days remain at $300 per day

The $1000 Bond included in the total price is refundable minus transfers, excess fuel / cleaning, and any damage.
